I don’t know why I had trouble locating them but that was likely because I did not know where to look. For the history, when I update with dell it says I am fine. The service fees for that exceed that of a new printer. Some of them also slow down computers. Have you run into this before? I did get it working.

Should I downgrade to the older firmware or keep the newer one that came with the XP driver software package? It help it work better. After several times with software and printer people, they removed and reinstalled a driver when dell tried to print it started but the paper jammed and after that I am told to check again with software people as there is a run time error This was helpful 0.

In fact the Dell Ail center software was missing from the computer. Is there a similar “trick” to getting this to work for the ? I don’t want to have different patched, drivers, etc mixed on a post and then have someone install the wrong programs, especially the firmware, since it will make the printer a huge paper weight.

The fix is in post 2. You have solved this problem for other Dell all-in-one printers and recommended separate postings to solve for different models. Glad someone else got their printer fixed.
I had the same problem. The process had a little trouble locating some dll’s and ini’s but I found them in a back up that I had done some time ago.
HP Printer All-in-One solution. Dell All in one Printer CD. If not, there are other solutions. I see your point about Microsoft. Iwish you only good things. After 2 of these interventions I got an alert about artemis that I eliminated. It seems that some problems started after that Since I contacted Dell, I had to take additionnal warranties driver and software ajo of the life warranty.
Some of them also slow down computers. Install the XP drivers from post 2.
Hey PudgyOne, Sorry I’m so slow in responding but was on Vacation, everything worked perfectly till I got to the firmware update.
Have you run into this before? Do I need to completely uninstall and if I do what is the install process that gets me the center back?
