My confusion comes with why it doesn’t work if the little program called InputMapper supposedly changes the movements and button presses so that the PC reads everything as it was an Xbox controller already. Just tried to play Heckabomb again today on March 8 with my same controller the Rumblepad 2, and it wont work at all. I’ll be very interested to find out if it actually does or not! Allicorn has been working on your issue today – basically, he’s writing a way for anyone to submit a series of codes that will potentially allow him to add a controller profile for any controller. Also, after your update on March 2, I was happy to see that my Logitech Rumblepad 2 was working great.

Installation Run this program from the same directory as the game executable. I can move the cursor around the screen on Heckabomb using the Dualshock4 touchpad, but the sticks and buttons don’t seem to do anything at all.
Xbox Controller Emulator
Post back here if you can – would be interesting to know since I don’t have one myself: I couldn’t get the Logitech profiller software to work, and apps like Xpadder also rhmblepad correctly be programmed to work with a game like this as it tries to assign buttons on your controller to keyboard keys, and well. Thanks rumboepad your feedback guys My confusion comes with why it doesn’t work if the little program called InputMapper supposedly changes the movements and button presses so that the PC reads everything as it was an Xbox controller already.
Only one controller, mapped to PAD1, may work correctly in some games. Maybe it’s not detecting it right in which case that little diagnostic tool in the other thread may be able to read some different values from that one too if you fancy giving it a try.
Set “Map To” drop down list value to: Select the [Controller ] tab page corresponding to your controller. Set “Device Type” drop down list value to: Just let me know what you need whenever you are ready.
Feistykitten View Profile View Posts. No matter what buttons I hit on the controller for Heckabomb, it won’t read my controller. Just hope you can figure out the Dualshock4 problem as I’m sure someone else at some point might have the same issue.
With any luck, this is going to get the game to support your Rumblepad 2. The game does play extremely well with controller and I’m sorry you are having issues. I wish there was an option inside the game itself to configure the buttons for a different controller then whatever controller you have this game set up for by default.

You may need to increase the Anti-Dead Zone value, windoqs there is gap between the moment, when you start to push the axis related button, and the reaction in game.
Set “Combine Into” drop down list value logjtech Thanks for your help! Feb 27, 6: Did all that, Xinput shows my Dualshock is working ie X button is a A key on the xbox controller test etc. I’ve also tried re-starting Heckabomb and Steam several times after the dualshock4 is plugged ligitech with no success.
In the meantime I just wanted to respond to your post. Open the [Direct Input Device] tab page visible when the controller is connected. When I get some time to mess with it, I might be able to rig it to work. Yeah the PS4 controller issue is odd, as the controller library definitely has a solid looking profile for it. I’ll be very interested to find out if it actually does or not!

Last edited by Zaxtor99 ; Feb 27, 9: XInput library files exist with several different names and some games require a change in its name. The InControl library what I’m using to read controllers specifically says it supports it. To use more than one controller in game, you may need to combine them. Made main rumblepac aware of your issue.
